Scientists at the US medical research center “Scripps Research Institute” have discovered new benefits of wine for health. In the latest research of resveratrol, which is found in wine, they have concluded that it can activate a powerful response against cellular aging and, also, it protects against tumors.
This is produced by the activation of a gene in the organism that generates anti-inflammatory and antioxidant proteins that are related to increase cell longevity. It could be similar to a hypocaloric diet. So far, other investigations were made at much higher doses in the laboratory that the dose consumed by humans. However, the “Scripps” team, conducted by Dr. Mathew Sajish, has studied the actual evidence in moderate wine consumption, maximum two glasses of red wine a day.
Resveratrol is also present in grapes, must, oysters and nuts. This anti-aging effect is a great discovery because it involves a longer life expectancy.
